Kia ora! We’re Vic and Steve, a couple of Kiwis from the stunning Kāpiti Coast, North Island, Aotearoa New Zealand. This blog is our way of sharing our biggest adventure yet—five months exploring Europe in our big year of travel and change! We don’t sell anything or have an agenda, we’re just here to share our journey with our whānau and friends, with some handy tips and stories we pick up along the way.

2025 has been our year of change. We sold OptimalBI, quit our day jobs, are expecting our first mokopuna (grandchild) to arrive and are taking this trip. In the last couple of years we’ve lost 6 fabulous colleagues and friends – Mary, Kathryn, Jeremy, Grant, Jeff and Anastasia – all far too young (aged 40-60) and all unexpectedly, so this is our year of carpe diem.
