With 25.6km to walk we made the call to stop shy of Santiago and split our final day into two. Here is part one, a hot, steep uphill climb day, mostly by the road.
Hurricane Gabrielle made it’s presence felt today with the rain. We enjoyed a nice walk in the countryside and are finding we’re coping much better this week.
Imogen’s turn to catch the cold so a slightly disruptive day. The walk was lovely and fairly flat, we were walking into a port city of Vigo so many suburban streets as well as beaches.
Day 8 was tough walking, a very tricky hill and cycleway again. But also lovely coastal walking too. We saw the destruction fire has caused in this area and found a wonderful lunch place.
Day 6 didn’t get off to a great start with Steve very unwell. We had planned to walk 27km but instead walked 17km – a valiant effort really. Lovely day but did get windy towards the end.
